Route

The route is a 2.6 km circular course. Each lap covers 47 meters of elevation gain. You will be running on forest, woodland, and meadow paths. The route is marked.

Camping

There is limited space for tents on the event grounds. Setup is possible from 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2026. Tents must be taken down by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Event Location

The start and finish location is at the barbecue hut in 56276 Großmaischeid. Großmaischeid is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, in the district of Neuwied. The town is on the edge of the Westerwald forest, between Koblenz and Neuwied, so fairly centrally located between the Rhine and the Westerwald.

Arriving by car:

From the north: A3 towards Frankfurt – Dierdorf junction
From the south: A3 towards Cologne – Dierdorf junction


Public transportation:

From Koblenz Central Station, you can easily reach Großmaischeid by taking bus line 110 (towards Dierdorf). The journey takes around 45–50 minutes. Simply get off at the “Großmaischeid Kirche” stop – from there it is only a few minutes‘ walk to the barbecue hut.

Race number distribution

The distribution of race numbers begins one hour before the start.

Briefing

The mandatory briefing will take place 10 minutes before the start in the start area.

Catering

There is a refreshment point in the start/finish area with drinks and snacks suitable for runners, in keeping with Katja’s running style. The longer the race goes on, the more substantial the refreshments become. On Saturday morning, there is a breakfast to which the participants in the 12-hour race are also cordially invited. Hot meals are also offered at regular intervals throughout the 24 hours.

Lap counting

Lap counting is done electronically via RaceResult. There is no measurement of remaining meters.

Medals

Every participant who completes at least one full lap will receive a medal at the finish line.

Cups

Cups can be ordered optionally during registration for €12.50 including VAT.

Award ceremony

The award ceremony will take place shortly after the finish in the start/finish area.

Sanitary facilities

Toilets are available in the start/finish area. There are currently no shower facilities. Negotiations on this issue are still ongoing.

Rules

Violations of the rules will be punished at the discretion of the organizer with a warning or disqualification. These include, but are not limited to, unsportsmanlike behavior, shortcuts, and littering on the course.

If paramedics or the race director determine during the event that runners are physically harming themselves by continuing the race, they may order a break or a stop. The runners will remain in the rankings. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. In the event of disqualification, the starters must immediately hand in their race numbers and end the race. They will not be included in the results list and will not receive a medal.

DNS

There will be no refund of entry fees in the event of non-participation. A substitute runner may be named within the registration period. It is recommended that you take out entry fee insurance.

The disclaimer is an essential part of the registration process and is accepted during registration.

Information on data protection

The personal data provided when registering participants will be stored and processed exclusively for the purposes of organizing and conducting the event. This applies in particular to the data necessary for payment processing (§28 Federal Data Protection Act). By registering, participants consent to the storage of their data for this purpose.

The stored personal data will be used and passed on for the purposes of timekeeping, compiling registration and results lists, and publishing these lists on the internet. By registering, participants consent to the storage and reproduction of their data for this purpose.

The participants‘ last name, first name, year of birth, gender, location, club (if applicable), start number, and results (placement and times) will be printed or published in all relevant media accompanying the event (printed materials such as program booklets and results booklets, as well as on the Internet) for the purpose of displaying start and results lists. By registering, participants consent to the storage and use of their personal data for this purpose.
