Legend
Once upon a time, in a land shrouded in mist and steeped in ancient secrets, castles and fortresses stood like silent guardians upon the hills. Some said they had been enchanted by the ancestors; others believed that the stones themselves held the stories of those who had once been brave enough to pass through their gates.
One night, when the moon stood high in the sky and the stars whispered, a mysterious call rang out: Those who follow the Ruf der alten Mauern will not only solve the riddles of the ancient stones, but also find glory and honour. Yet only those who understand the signs along the paths will be able to discover all the castles and fortresses and reach the long-awaited destination.
You have now been chosen to answer this call. Before the first light of day, you will receive the secret coordinates that will lead you to each castle and fortress. It is up to you to plan your route, overcome obstacles and uncover the secrets hidden within these ancient walls.
In the end, you will return to the place where it all began – the heart of the legend. There, you will be celebrated not merely as a seeker, but as a hero. Every step, every castle and every fortress will be recorded by a GPS tracker, allowing the world to follow your journey.
And so, Katjas Laufzeit now awaits all those brave enough to answer the Ruf der alten Mauern Take on the route, explore the castles, solve the riddles and become part of this legend.

And here’s the special part: You decide the order in which you complete the four stages.
You can start with Stage 1, begin with Stage 4, or choose your own order. However, the four cut-off times are the same for all participants. They are based solely on the common start time of the 100-mile event.
